Fun with the Tickle Monster

David and I went to play at Val's house while she was teaching class. We had a great time playing with Seamus! Here's a little clip of the excitement.

Making the Eggs

Stuart staged a fabulous photo op this morning. David was walking around the house with his Easter basket saying "Making the eggs". So Stu got him a bowl and a whisk and some spices and David began whipping up some breakfast for us. He's a very good cook. No one can cook plastic like Chef David!

Good friends!

Seamus and Miss Val came over to play this morning. We always have a really good time playing together. David and Seamus haven't quite grasped the concept of sharing, but they get better at it every time they play together. My favorite part is having a conversation with someone over two feet tall! Ha!

I made sure to post a picture of David's new shirt. It's my favorite in his collection...mainly because there is SO much truth to what it says!

I'm also including a video of David and Miss Val singing together. It's very amusing. David keeps sticking out his tongue like he's going to sing "La la la la la" but then doesn't ever really sing it.

David's New Sandbox

Grandma and Grandpa got David a sandbox to keep at their house. Grandma Bev got David FOUR different colors of sand to play with!!! As you can see from the pictures, he had a great time!

I'm also including a picture of the fish "kissing" David's fingers. He sure does love playing at Grandma's house!

Fun at the Park

David and I played in the yard for a while this morning. He played in the dirt and I did homework, then we went for a walk down to the end of the street. When we got back, we packed up and went to the park. David went down the slide by himself (something I've never seen before), and then went down the tunnel slide all by himself. After about the 20th time of picking him up so he could get to the slide, I taught him how to climb up the ladders all by himself! He had a really great time, and the weather is phenomenal today! I think we'll go back to the park when he wakes up from his nap. It's too nice to be cooped up in the house doing homework, even if that IS what I really need to be doing.

Playdate at Volta

We met some friends at Volta for a little Mommy get together. Of course, the kiddies had a great time running around on the patio and making tons of noise, but the best part was actually having "big girl" conversation in the middle of the day with all my friends! Of course, no one wants to hear about that...they just want to see pictures of the FAB children!

I do want to say this, though. There was terrible mother sitting at another table who was FREAKING out about her kid playing with our children. She kept apologizing and saying things like "I'm sorry. He's obsessing and it's making me crazy." Hello! He's a little kid. He sees other kids playing and having fun, of COURSE he wants to join in. We didn't mind him playing with us. She just kept wigging out and making him go sit back down at the table. Dang, lady. He just wanted to make friends. Calm down and let the kid have some fun!

Picture descriptions:
1. David "chillin'" in the van on the way to "go see Seamus!"
2. Val and Seamus talking to David.
3. David playing in the potted tree on the patio.
4. Lucy giggling at me making silly noises.
5. David and Seamus playing together in the potted tree on the patio.

Automechanic Dave

David has been repairing many of his cars in the past few days. Soon he'll be slugging Bud heavy and arguing the supremacy of American made cars. (But I sure hope not!)

For Clarabella...just took this one about five minutes before I got your comment. Of course they have safety googles for tots! I was trying to get him to put them on for the video, but he wouldn't do it.

Orange Scented Chocolate Cream Cups

These are the little desserts that I made for Valentine's Day dinner. I made more of them yesterday. They're just so yummy! I have to do a speech tonight on "how to do something", so I'm going to explain how to make these cups. I just thought I'd show off a picture of the yumminess.

Per Connie's request, here is the recipe for the chocolate cups.

For the record, I used milk chocolate instead of bittersweet. I've also made them with cream cheese instead of mascarpone. They're amazing either way!

Tammy and Will's Suprise Visit

Tammy and Will came over to play today. We had a great time! David and Will had fun playing with cars, trucks, dumptrucks, and lawnmowers. They are two peas in a pod. Everything was crashing and they were screaming and laughing and carrying on. Tammy and I had a great time eating girl scout cookies and watching the huge tv! I sure wished we lived closer so we could see them all the time.

Family Outting

We went to the baseball game today. David loves going because there is plenty of dirt and gravel to put in his dump truck. He was so filthy when we left that we'll probably have to bathe him twice to get all the dirt off. His face was covered in dust even though we cleaned it off two different times.

LML and I had a good time, too. He made burgers and hot dogs on the grill and brought some chips and potato salad. Ole Miss was down 5 to 4 in the top of the ninth and tied it up to go into extra innings. We finally won in the bottom of the 11th inning after a guy hit a 379 yard homerun, hitting some clueless chick in the head. While Stuart went to get the car, David and I watched them take her off in an ambulance. (I was watching because I'm nosy. He was watching because the lights were flashing on the ambulance.) One of the Ole Miss staff members was nice enough to come and get the ball and have the hitter sign it for her. Hardly compensation for a concussion and a massive headache, but she shouldn't have been reading that magazine when game was on the line. Ole Miss swept Indiana State this weekend! Go Rebs!
