The "Real" McCain

So, I'm not sure how many of you are actually AWARE of this...HOWEVER...

Abortion and gay marriage are NOT the MOST important issues of the upcoming election, and if your preachers are telling you they ARE, then you need to find a preacher who actually keeps up with the news (or one who actually has a brain in their skull). If you think that McCain is any more intellegent that Bush, you've got another thing coming, and voting for this idiot is doing nothing but screwing us ALL over for another 8 years.

That is all...well, and this video. Let's elect another compulsive liar who takes campaign money from the oil companies. Asshole.

Random Memphis Pictures

A few photos from "non-specific" events in Memphis. The first one is so funny that I can't say anything except, "Wow." He's like a really bad wrestler.

More Zoo Pictures

The boys also got to ride on the train that goes through the petting zoo before it was time to put them in the stroller and head home for an afternoon nap. As you can see, they didn't quite make it home before their big day caught up with them!

The Kids at the Zoo

Connie and I took David and Will to the zoo while the big kids and their parents went tubing on the Current River. They LOVED the zoo. That first picture is David sitting right next to a mountain lion. Of course, there is a thick sheet of glass between them, but I thought it was really cool he was THAT close to the mountain lion and it didn't DO anything. She was just chillin' looking up at us every couple of minutes to see what we were doing. After we ate lunch we got the boys some ice cream and sat on a park bench while they ate. They're looking up one of the pictures because (of course) a plane was flying overhead. And we couldn't get through the zoo without getting a good shot of Connie with the boys. I'm going to have to add another blog to put in all the other cute pix of them wearing me and Connie out!

Fourth of July: Bellvue Style

The whole fam (sans Stu, who had to go home to go to work...boo) went to Bellvue Baptist Church to their Fourth of July wingding. We played for a while, sat in a fire truck, and then watched all the fireworks. David was completely mesmerized by them. I'm not even really sure he took breath the whole time the fireworks were going off. If you have to turn your head sideways to check out the pictures, I apologize in advance. I didn't bother rotating them before I loaded them.

Aunt Connie's Pool

I grew up playing in Connie's pool, so I was really excited for David to carry on tradition. When Tammy came to town with her family, we all got to go have a splash in the water.

Sometimes the System Actually Works

I have been REALLY pleased with the way that the WVPD has handled our case. They found my laptop, which I got back on Wednesday afternoon. Every single thing that I've put on it was still there, thank goodness! They have a lead that they are going to start working on to find the rest of our stuff, which I've been told will begin on Monday because of the holiday weekend. I'm impressed that they have actually been recovering some of the stolen property, and I'm pretty confident that they'll find our other stuff too. I'll be sure to keep updating as I learn more information.
